NYSEF Athletes in Colorado!
Checking in from Colorado!
Another ski season is on the way! Temperatures are dropping and the snowguns have been turned on. Some of our athletes are getting on snow early! The Northwood Ski Team is taking advantage of early snow in Colorado. They will be skiing at Copper, A-Basin and Loveland over the next few days before Thanksgiving. Athletes will train next to some of the best skiers in the world as they warm up for the World Cup season.

Happy Holidays, NYSEF Friends and Family!
It's no surprise that things have been off to a rocky start with Mother Nature dealing us some unseasonable weather. The Whiteface Mountain management has done everything they can to keep things going, and have done a great job! The snowmaking crew has been excellent at keeping up with demand and the skiing has been great for the most part. They are gaining every day here at Whiteface!
Many of our athletes have joined our partner schools (National Sports Academy and Northwood School) at camps in Colorado before and after Thanksgiving. You can check out their blogs for pictures and videos here:

Many races that were scheduled for December have been postponed, cancelled or re-scheduled. But some of our athletes have raced and posted some great results. Three of our J2 Men from National Sports Academy swept the J2 podium at the December Canadian FIS GS at Tremblant. Check out their podium photo:

All for now, hope for snow and see you on the slopes!
